The Silent Killer

Hypertension is the number one ‘silent killer’world wide, according to the WHO. However if the symptoms are picked up early enough, the effects are reversible. We devised an innovative interactive poster that required the public to squeeze a blood pressure pump to have fake blood fill the poster and reveal, line for line, an ominous message around the dangers of high blood pressure. Once fully revealed a message at the top of the poster prompted the participant to read the message down. When reading the message from the top down, the meaning was flipped around informing participants that hypertension does not have to be a death sentence. A nurse on standby performed free blood pressure tests and provided more information on the condition
